Turok and Andar try rafting across a lake in quest of an exit from Lost Valley, but are attacked by sea honkers and stranded on an island. Stirring up a fight between sea and land honkers they escaped unnoticed, but the opposite shore holds no way out.
Neanderthals come into conflict with gorillas. Despite their disadvantages in size and strength, the Neanderthals use their brain power, employing fire and spears to conquer the new territory.

Seeing Turok and Andar kill a honker with poisoned arrows, primitive men pretend that a cave near them exits Lost Valley. When Turok and Andar enter they are attacked by an anklyosaurus, barely escaping with their lives. With Andar captive, Turok is forced back in, fighting the honker and coping with a volcanic eruption. As the primitives flee Andar uses a torch, burning himself, to break his bonds and help Turok. The cave offers no way out.
