Angry molemen want revenge for being forced to live in warrens on the outskirts of San Francisco so they plan an invasion. When the earthquake brought on by their tunneling produces multiple fires, they figure that the citizens must have thought to destroy their town rather then have them take it over, so they return to their caves and collapse the entrance behind them.
