- Synopsis
- In the altered reality where the Green Lantern Corps has never existed, on Earth the Justice League is locked in an unending cycle of battling old villains and facing crisis after crisis. Superboy wants to leave Earth to join the Darkstars, but he is forbidden to by Superman. Belzebeth reveals to Hal why she hungers to devour Earth and reveals details about her past on Vorr the planet of vampires.

- Synopsis
- After Hal convinces Jon Kent to join the Blackstars against his wishes, Superman leads the heroes of Earth in an attack on the Blackstars. However, the heroes are defeated and the Blackstars take control of the Earth. Hal then leads a group of Blackstars in rebellion against Belzebeth, resulting in Hal reclaiming his Green Lantern ring to defeat Belzebeth.

Hyperman of Trombus Craig Quentin, along with Hyperwoman, Hyperboy, and Hyperhound, originally appeared in Superboy (DC, 1949 series) #144. An earlier seemingly different Hyperman of Oceania appeared in Action Comics #265, but Hyperwoman infers that both Hypermen are the same person.
Zarl Vorne originally appeared as Power-Boy of Juno in Superboy (DC, 1949 series) #52, but here is the adult Powerlord.
