Synopsis
Loki captures Storm. The Enchantress almost captures the New Mutants, but Magik teleports the rest of them away, where they each individually have life-changing adventures. Eventually they reunite, defeat the Enchantress, and set out to rescue Storm.

This story, which is continued in X-Men Annual #9, is a sequel to the events of the X-Men and Alpha Flight mini-series. The New Mutants appear here after New Mutants (Marvel, 1983 series) #34 and before X-Men Annual (Marvel, 1970 series) #9, Uncanny X-Men (Marvel, 1981 series) #200, and New Mutants (Marvel, 1983 series) #35.
