Synopsis
Veronica spends $150 for a tie-clip for Archie to celebrate the anniversary of the day they met. Betty changes the price to $1.50 to see if Archie is a gold-digger. Archie is unhappy with the gift, but not because of the cost. He's upset for another reason, which in retrospect seems obvious.

Days after a major fight, Veronica is upset that Archie hasn't called to apologize. She calls him to complain, but ends up accepting his apology instead. Unfortunately before the call Veronica had told Smithers to throw Archie out if he showed up, which he gleefully does. Veronica is horrified when she learns what he's done, ordering Smithers to chase Archie down and bring him back.

Synopsis
Betty is going with Archie on the school bicycle outing, but is afraid that Archie will end up riding with Veronica. At Jughead's suggestion, she borrows a tandem bicycle so she and Archie will have to stay together. But the plans all go awry and Betty ends up sharing the tandem bike with Mr. Weatherbee.
