- Little Archie goes to Crackstone Manor to retrieve the camera he left there the last time Mad Doctor Doom captured him (in Archie Giant Series #570). He finds that in the Doctor's absence, Professor Pither From Planet Pluto is using Crackstone Manor to create tiny tornadoes that can steal people's jewelry.

Professor Pither was originally created by Bob Bolling as an adversary for Sabrina the Teenage Witch. (In at least one Sabrina story we learn that he continues to use Crackstone Manor after Archie has grown up and driven Mad Doctor Doom out of Riverdale.)

- Mr. Weatherbee is ice-fishing for the legendary Perilous Pike of Logger's Pond, but the boys almost catch the Perilous Pike using a sandwich as bait.
