Synopsis
Having learned of the existence of the Suicide Squad, the President wants to shut it down. Waller convinces the President to allow it to continue with a military man in charge, Colonel Rick Flag. When the president approves, Waller travels to Guantanamo Bay where Flag has been held as a captive since refusing to carry-out illegal orders from a superior some time ago. She convinces him to lead the Squad. Their first mission: travel to Mongolia to rescue a scientist who has built a meta-bomb that, when detonated, will give super powers to the terrorist group that possesses it.

Synopsis
When Strikeforce Europa kidnaps George Carmody, the former Secretary of Defense, to try him for international war crimes, the Squad travels to the Netherlands to free him. However, in addition to fighting Strikeforce Europa, they also encounter Shado who has been hired by Carmody's former company to retrieve him before he can reveal the company's secrets.

Amanda Waller is stunned to learn the Boomerang really did previously work for the Australian Secret Service. He had told her this in "Boomerang Agent of Oz" back in issue #2, but she had reason to disbelieve his story.

Owen Mercer claims he is Boomerang's son and he wanted revenge on Boomerang for not being part of his life. Digger was not aware of Owen's existence.
