The Fly investigates, but a bright flash "upset his equilibrium" (his weakness). He falls in the water and hitches a boat ride. He battles Spider Spry in his water tower hideout, shooting his buzz gun, escaping a "web" (net). He leaves Spider hanging for the police and returns him to chop wood.
