The Professor's brain machine raises his IQ from 90 to 9,000 and also increases the size of his head. Unfortunately the high intelligence turns out to be trouble and Joe returns to get the Professor to reverse the effect.

In the opening panels, Joe and Janet discuss their troubles with a vitamin ray that made them four inches tall and a beauty lamp that made them invisible. However, the vitamin ray story from Archie's Mad House #21 featured Professor Sy Klops, not Professor Transistor.
