Synopsis
Corey researches a decades-old plane crash on Thunder Mountain and discovers the plane's cargo included two priceless gold figurines en route to a museum. Lassie, Corey, and Johnny Swift Fox find the figurines in a mountain cleft but are followed by crooks intent on stealing the items. Lassie disarms one thief and Johnny wrestles the other to the ground. Both are taken into custody and government officials praise Lassie.

Synopsis
Corey receives a report from Mary Grant about two men prowling around a stand of hickory trees. Corey suspects timber thieves but discovers the two men are campers looking for firewood. Later that night, Lassie finds the two campers ready to signal the timber thieves to move in on the stand of hickory trees. Corey takes the men into custody. A subplot involves Mary overcoming her dislike of dogs.
