Synopsis
Gail marries Eddie, then finds married life boring. When he goes into the Army, she dates Don and files for divorce when Eddie comes home. However, after Don says he’s not interested in marrying her, Gail decides to reconcile with Eddie.
George returns from military service but acts remote towards his girlfriend Mary Ellen. She writes to his pal Flip, who mistakenly thinks she’s coming on to him. Flip visits and Mary Ellen says she just wanted him to drop a hint to George. George shows up and becomes jealous. Mary Ellen takes this as a sign that he really does love her.

Synopsis
Laura applies for a job with Miss Skinner and doesn't get it, but is asked to stay at the house for a party. Laura and party guest Nat fall in love. He leaves town on business and she loses his card in a fiery bus crash, so she has no way to contact him. Laura takes a job as a servant in the Ames household, only to discover Nat is their grown son, and thought Laura was dead. He and Laura are reunited.

Synopsis
Lydia’s mother opposes her romance with Fred. When Fred is arrested for a hit and run accident, Lydia stands by him, but he withdraws from her. Fred is eventually cleared and Lydia’s brother Chester confesses he was actually the driver in the crash. Fred and Lydia can now be together.
