Oliver Queen; Mr. Queen (Oliver's father); Sebastian (Mr. Queen's business partner); Tyler (son of Sebastian)
Synopsis
On a hunting trip with his father, his father's business partner, and the partner's son, Oliver freezes rather than shoot an animal. His father is embarrassed, and the other two openly scorn him. After an airplane crash the Queens are separated from their companions, and Mr. Queen is severely injured. Oliver cares for his father, and searches for a way to find help.
Oliver finds the plane wreck, and a source for water and berries, but Tyler appears and claims the berries by force. Oliver is menaced by a wild boar, but manages to get water to his father, whose condition is worsening.
Oliver has another confrontation with Tyler, but uses his archery to save Tyler from a venomous snake. They agree that they need to work together, and take water to Tyler's father, only to find him being menaced by wild boar. Oliver wounds one with a makeshift arrow, and the boars chase him, sparing the injured Sebastian.
The two parties reunite. Oliver and his father each confess how the disaster has affected them. Oliver scratches out a message in the sand of the beach, and runs gasoline into the letters. When an airplane passes he uses a flaming arrow to light the letters "ALIVE."
