Emily Dunne [Karen Devreux]; Felix Dunne; Parker; Boyd Raymond; Mr. Lewis; Charles
Emily is “discovered” and offered a career as a movie actress. Her name is changed, she has to keep her marriage to Felix a secret, and even move into an apartment of her own. Felix has enough and leaves her. Emily is a success. During a personal appearance at a veteran’s hospital, she is reunited with Felix—“he had worked with some powerful chemicals” while in the Army and suffers from headaches—and he says he’s willing to take her back, but only if she quits acting. Emily agrees.
Judy and her widowed father operate a farm. They hope to get out of debt by winning a race with their horse “Judy’s Boy.” Neighbour Tim loves Judy but she thinks he’s romancing her so her father will sell his water rights. Tim and Judy compete in the big race; Judy’s horse is badly injured and has to be destroyed. Judy unfairly blames Tim. Some time later, Tim presents Judy with a colt that is the offspring of his mare and “Judy’s Boy.” Judy realises Tim is sincere and what happened in the race was an accident. She and Tim will be married.
