Ross, a successful writer, buys a controlling interest in the hotel, dismisses the strict management, and will marry Joan.

She later leaves school and gets a job as a newspaper “society reporter.” She interviews wealthy Craig about his upcoming wedding, and he confesses he’d really like to be a reporter himself but his fiancee Patricia wouldn’t approve. Patricia, a former classmate of Susan’s, gets her fired from the newspaper. Craig breaks his engagement and asks Susan to be his partner in a new magazine, and also his wife.
