Synopsis
Amanda travels to New York for the reading of her uncle’s will. She clashes with her greedy relatives but falls in love with family friend Ray. Amanda learns she inherited only $5; she moves to California. Months later, Ray tracks her down and says he loves her. Also, the will was a forgery and Amanda is the heir to a fortune.

In a letter shown on page 2 (panel 1), Amanda's uncle's name is given as "Thurgood W. Marshall." However, in panel 3 on that page, Amanda refers to him as "Uncle Thurmond."

When Nancy learns Frank is the owner’s son, she thinks he’s been making fun of her and decides to quit and leave town. Frank apologizes and they reconcile.

One day Paula tries to spook Ann’s horse but it’s Cindy who’s slightly injured. Paula blames Ann but Cindy reveals the truth and Bob decides to marry Ann and make her Cindy’s new mother.
