Memling credit from reprint. The first Comics Code-approved issue alters the Ghost Rider's features. The outline of a mouth and nose is added, softening his skull like face.
From letter from Dick Ayers in Best of the West (AC, 1998 series) #6: "Ernie worked on "No Law in Little Bend" and also on "He Who Laughs." "Laughs" was done in November 1953 and was the last Ghost Rider I had Ernie work on. ... Incidently I lettered first ... pencilled ... then outlined my pencils in ink ... and then Ernie finished the art."
