Synopsis
Nightclub performer Glory marries socialite Brent, on the rebound from Hilary. Brent’s parents help Glory undergo a makeover so she’ll fit in with high society. However, the new Glory bores Brent and he’s soon seen with Hilary again. Glory catches them in her old nightclub, performs a song, and warns Hilary to “leave my man alone!” Glory and Brent reconcile.

Synopsis
Pru meets Johnny at a dance and they fall in love, but when she learns he’s a member of a “stunt circus” she says she can’t marry him: “I’d die a thousand deaths!” Johnny refuses to take an office job and she breaks up with him. A distraught Johnny takes a drink and nearly dies in a stunt but Pru rescues him. He still thinks they’re too different, so she participates in a stunt herself. Johnny decides to test race cars for a living and will marry Pru.

Synopsis

Tib has a sick mother and two siblings to care for and can’t decide. Her neighbor Jeff warns her against Denny. When Tib’s mother is taken to the hospital, Denny won’t loan Tib money but Jeff does. He also tells Tib that Denny has to be married to get his new job. Tib decides to marry Jeff, who’s always loved her.

Synopsis
Sheila, who uses a wheelchair after being injured in an auto accident, is cared for by her older sister Carrie. Dr. George, a recent arrival to town, encourages Sheila to walk and she does. However, Carrie insists Sheila is still too ill to go to the ball with George. Sheila goes anyway but faints when she sees George with another woman. George explains that the woman was his cousin, and Carrie is a “sour spinster” who was jilted and takes out her bitterness on Sheila. Carrie asks for forgiveness and George asks Sheila to marry him.

Synopsis

Ray is angry and goes home to spread gossip that Lucia is Cam’s mistress. Lucia asks Cam for help: she admits she really loves him and he says he loves her, too. They will be married.

Synopsis
Ina’s boyfriend Tim wants her to quit working for broker Winthrop, whom he considers a wolf. They break up when she refuses. Winthrop asks her to pose as his fiancee to make his ex-girlfriend Carma jealous. Tim asks Ina to come to work in his office so she submits her resignation to Winthrop. When Winthrop and Carma flee with client funds, Ina is accused of complicity and her reputation suffers. Reporter Nick says Tim is going to be fired as a result so Ina breaks her engagement to him. Winthrop is caught and clears Ina: she and Tim reconcile.
