- Synopsis
- Office worker Beth saves her money and takes a Caribbean cruise, hoping to find a wealthy husband. Ship’s purser Tony says “there’s a girl like you on every trip.” Beth makes friends with oilman Drake, who is “sort of useless” but rich. However, Drake is married; he and his wife “have an understanding about flings” and he won’t divorce her to marry Beth. Beth plans to commit suicide but Tony stops her: 4 years ago he was looking for a rich wife and failed. Now Tony and Beth will marry.

- Synopsis
- Department store clerk Laurie is engaged to schoolteacher Dick but dreams of living a luxurious life. She dates customer Grant, who takes her to fancy restaurants, then is caught by Dick. Grant reconciles with an old girlfriend and Laurie is left alone. Dick writes a letter saying he still loves Laurie and now has a better job. Laurie and Dick reconcile.

- Synopsis
- Anita is engaged to soldier Eddy, and agrees to wait to marry until he finishes Officer Candidate School. When Eddy returns, he says their wedding will have to be postponed a little longer until he saves up some money: he refuses to let her keep her job at the camp PX to help out after they’re married. Anita discovers Eddy has changed since he’s an officer, and has been dating the colonel’s daughter. The colonel straightens them out: his daughter is already engaged, and Eddy needs to get with the program. Eddy apologizes to Anita and they are reunited.
