Based on characters created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. For about the first half of the strip's run, beginning with "The Cask of Jamaica Rum" in issue #2, Mike Sekowsky pencilled the original newspaper strips, and then later Gil Kane plus perhaps Joe Giella, ghosting for Frank Giacoia.
