- Synopsis
- Peggy grew up in poverty and now works in a laundromat. She starts dating gangster Biff Wyatt. Biff uses her as bait in a robbery attempt during which the victim is wounded. Peg calls for medical assistance and the police while Biff and his gang flee. Her actions earn her a light jail sentence and the affections of Dick, the doctor who responded to her call.

- Synopsis
- Abbie and her grandfather run an isolated desert gas station. Hiker Bart arrives and stays to help out. He and Abbie fall in love. The police arrive, in search of an escape convict, but Bart has fled. Tracked down in the desert, Bart admits he’s a fugitive, but from his rich father, not the police. He was being forced into a career and marriage he didn’t want. Bart’s father agrees to let Bart live his own life, which includes marrying Abbie.

- Synopsis
- Although engaged to lawyer Nils, Kathleen finds herself attracted to mechanic Bix Barton. She sneaks out on a date with Bix, who is later accused of murder. She can provide an alibi but it will reveal that she was unfaithful to Nils, who is also the prosecuting attorney. Bix is acquitted and thanks Kathleen, but they realize they don’t love each other. Kathleen is reunited with Nils.

- Synopsis

She eventually discovers Roy is not as mature and responsible as Bill, but Bill has become disillusioned with her. He goes to Guatemala to work. A contrite Yvonne follows him and they reconcile.
