Synopsis
Ray Anthony relates an anecdote: Marcy’s partner David returned from military service with a psychosomatic hand injury that prevents him from resuming their career as a piano duo. Marcy tells bandleader Ray Anthony, who invites them to rehearsal for his television show. David has to rescue Marcy when a spotlight falls, and realises his hand is now functional. Ray reveals that the “accident” was rigged. Marcy and David can now play duets again and can be married.

When Carol comes back to town, Eva thinks Jed is going to return to her so she decides to leave him for Paul. Jed confesses that he doesn’t love Carol anymore—he loves Eva.
