Synopsis
Ray Anthony relates an anecdote: Marcy’s partner David returned from military service with a psychosomatic hand injury that prevents him from resuming their career as a piano duo. Marcy tells bandleader Ray Anthony, who invites them to rehearsal for his television show. David has to rescue Marcy when a spotlight falls, and realizes his hand is now functional. Ray reveals that the “accident” was rigged. Marcy and David can now play duets again and can be married.

Synopsis
Eva loves Jed but he loves Carol. Paul urges Eva to marry him but she refuses. When Carol dumps Jed, Eva offers to marry him and he accepts. Eva takes a job as a salesgirl to help support them until Jed finishes his medical internship. When Carol comes back to town, Eva thinks Jed is going to return to her so she decides to leave him for Paul. Jed confesses that he doesn’t love Carol anymore—he loves Eva.

Dan breaks their engagement to spare her further distress and quits his job, but Nancy and Dan’s boss team up to convince him to stay and to marry Nancy.
