Marilyn's mother convinces her not to elope with Bud, who doesn't have a regular job and makes his living as a "promoter." Marilyn's father takes his wife and daughter on a drive, and reminds his wife how poor they were when they were first married, but how they were happy and how eventually things turned out all right for them. Marilyn's mother changes her mind and Marilyn is reunited with Bud.
Brenda turns down multiple marriage proposals because she "only want[s] to go dancing and have fun." When Bob is rejected, he moves out of town. Brenda discovers she misses him and doesn't want to date other men. Brenda plans to apologize to Bob but sees him with another woman and fears she's too late. However, Bob tells her that he tried to love someone else, but Brenda is the only woman for him. They reconcile.

Synopsis
Anita dates Tommy but he eventually begins avoiding her. Anita discovers she's suddenly popular with other boys, and when Tommy asks her for a date, she says she's busy, even though she still cares for him. Tommy apologizes and says he didn't realize how much he loved her until they broke up. Tommy and Anita reconcile.
