Synopsis
Sue wins the “Miss America” contest. Dan shows up with a contract she’d signed earlier, making him her manager. As part of the contract, Sue can’t acknowledge her fiancé Bob for a year. Keywords
beauty pageant; Miss America

Indexer Notes

The "Miss America" pageant and title are specifically named in this story. However, Dan's contract allows him to promote Sue as "Miss Cotton," probably to avoid depicting the "Miss America" organization in a bad light.

Although Bob calls himself "Bob Blake" on page 2 of the story, Sue introduces him as "Bob Martin" on page 3.
