Synopsis

Upset when her ex-boyfriend Herb marries another, Anise wanders into the woods and stumbles upon a cabin where Les lies ill. She helps nurse him back to health. He says he became a hermit after the war. Les falls in love with Anise and regains his will to live. Anise is still unsure of how she feels, especially when she learns Herb's wife has died. Herb returns and is reunited with Anise, but he says he's not interested in marriage: "I've been through that once!" Anise returns to Les and he takes her back.
