Synopsis:
Waitress Lucy is engaged to diner owner Carl, then falls in love with truck driver Sam. However, when Sam suggests Lucy steal money from the diner and run away with him, she refuses. Carl says he knew about her infidelity but she “had to find out for yourself that love isn’t all moonlight and kisses!” Lucy and Carl reconcile.

Synopsis:
Dale spends her summer vacation with her Aunt Gwen, who warns her against a romance with sailor Ben: “Keep away from men of the sea! The sea is a cruel and heartless killer!” that took her lover away, years before. Dale and Ben fall in love anyway, but when a storm blows up and Dale realises how hard it is to wait for Ben to return, she breaks up with him. However, Dale discovers that her Aunt Gwen’s lover didn’t die at sea, but left her. Dale can now love Ben whole-heartedly.

Synopsis:
Joyce auditions for a summer stock company led by former film star Martin. Joyce is a flop and reconciles with boyfriend Oscar.

Pat goes to work for realtor Curtis and falls in love with him, despite his sometimes ruthless and shady business tactics. However, she repents before he signs the contract and confesses everything, telling Curtis “you’re just like the houses you sell—-attractive outside—-and (sob) rotten inside!” She helps Alan find a better house and perhaps someday will move in there herself, as his wife.
