- Synopsis
- Waitress Lucy is engaged to diner owner Carl, then falls in love with truck driver Sam. She thinks Carl spends too much time worrying about his business and not enough romancing her, but can’t bring herself to tell him about Sam. However, when Sam suggests Lucy steal money from the diner and run away with him, she refuses. Carl says he knew about her infidelity but she “had to find out for yourself that love isn’t all moonlight and kisses!” Lucy and Carl reconcile.

- Dale spends her summer vacation with her Aunt Gwen, who warns her against a romance with sailor Ben: “Keep away from men of the sea! The sea is a cruel and heartless killer!” that took her lover away, years before. Dale and Ben fall in love anyway, but when a storm blows up and Dale realises how hard it is to wait for Ben to return, she breaks up with him. However, Dale discovers that her Aunt Gwen’s lover didn’t die at sea, but left her. Dale can now love Ben wholeheartedly.
