Synopsis
Angela graduates from high school and is trained by tennis pro Laura. Discarding her boyfriend Glen, Angela flirts with sportswriter Walt to further her career, even though she knows Laura loves him. However, Angela challenges Laura to a match and Walt realises she is only using him. He turns on her in his newspaper articles. Angela loses the match and is consoled by Glen.

Synopsis
Jack and Dale are partners in an ad agency and are dating Sue and Mike, respectively. Dale suspects Mike is cheating on her with Sue, and breaks up with him. Jack and Dale pretend to be lovers to make Mike and Sue jealous. It works, and the two couples reconcile, but then Jack and Dale realise they really do love each other.

Office worker Joan takes her vacation at fancy Manor Lodge, hoping to find a rich husband. On the train, she meets Hal and they hit it off, but he’s “only an insurance agent” and she wants more. At the lodge, she makes a play for wealthy Poynton, then discovers Hal is working at the resort for the summer. Hal criticises Joan for her mercenary attitude and she eventually decides he is right: she loves him, not Poynton.

Synopsis
Mary is the private secretary of gambler Rocky, and is his girlfriend as well. He encourages her to date college basketball player Nick and prevent him from playing in a big game. Mary changes her mind and gets Nick to the arena in time. Rocky slaps Mary for her betrayal but Nick rescues her and they kiss.
