Curt falls in love with a young woman who engages him day after day in conversation on a park bench. His depression lifts and he returns to work at the law firm where he was employed before serving in Korea. The two pledge their love.
Sally's father forbids her to date for six months until she turns eighteen. She is heartbroken because she is in love with - and has been dating - a young man named Rob. When she informs Rob of her father's order, he understandingly tells her that her father only wants to protect her. They decide to wait six more months before dating again.

Wealthy, flirtatious Babs is hideously scarred in an automobile accident. She falls in love with Bill Reiner, the lawyer handling her case, but believes he sees her only as a horribly scarred woman no one could possibly love. He corrects her and the two pledge their love. Babs eventually has plastic surgery to restore her face but the scars in her heart will always be there to remind her of her crippling self-pity.
