Synopsis
The whole town comes out to watch when a group of kids solemnly carries a coffin down the street. At first, amusement is the prevailing emotion. But then, some of the adults begin comparing notes. It seems the kids wanted to know about the details of funerals. They also wanted to know about crime and punishment, particularly capital punishment. They also wanted to know about how an electric chair works. Uneasiness begins to grow. Then, the mother of another child runs up, inquiring after her son. She hasn't seen him all day, and she knows the other kids were mad at him for a small theft.

Synopsis
Doc Swanson returns to his hometown to investigate a series of murders. He stops by the sheriff's office and announces that he knows the identity of the killer, but the sheriff protests that whatever killed several women couldn't have been human. Swanson's theory is that the killer murdered the women when he tried to woo them and they recoiled from his true nature. The doctor then accuses the sheriff of being the killer and several townsmen seize the sheriff. In the ensuing struggle, the sheriff is revealed to be a life-size robot containing his true form: an infant-sized twisted wreck.
