Synopsis
Veronica criticizes Jughead's tacky outfits and that makes Archie angry enough to storm out. Jughead puts on a snazzier outfit but Veronica agrees that it's just not his style and he should go back to the way he was.
Archie declares that he's going to "play it cool" where Veronica is concerned, while Jughead calmly predicts that his buddy will just make a fool of himself as usual.
Veronica tells outlandish stories about how she's going to spend the evening. When she does tell the truth about dating a handsome boy, Archie doesn't mind because he doesn't believe her.
Jughead tells Archie and Reggie that a package they took from him contains "the golden eye of the sacred idol of Ranjipur." What it really contains is a brass doorknob, but bad luck immediately starts to befall both Archie and Reggie.
