Synopsis
After meeting Wendy at her home and having her turn down his marriage proposal, Jim is arrested for robbery. Wendy’s father refuses to allow her to give him an alibi for fear of scandal, and she is unable to defy him. Jim goes to prison. 6 years pass, and Wendy’s younger sister Jan falls in love with Jim, now calling himself Paul. Jim tells Wendy he really loves Jan. Wendy and Jan both defy their father and he writes a confession. Jan realises Jim and Wendy are still in love and steps aside.

Synopsis

After some time, they fall in love and Eddie admits Laura’s father cooked up the scheme to make Laura a better person. They are “rescued” and Laura decides to marry Eddie.

Synopsis
Secretary Gina falls in love with her wealthy boss Alfred, but feels their socio-economic differences create “too much of a barrier between us.” Alfred’s mother says their family wasn’t always rich and approves of the match. Gina’s father, who deserted her and her mother when she was a child, shows up demanding money for his silence. Gina decides to vanish from Alfred’s life, unaware Alfred has told her father that he won’t give in to blackmail. Alfred catches Gina at the airport and they reconcile.
