Synopsis
Lila becomes Tom’s secretary, but is jealous of his fiancé Jane. Lila schemes to steal him away and when Jane falls ill, Lila volunteers to help her recuperate at a lake cottage. Lila tells Jane that Tom loves her. When Tom visits, Lila kisses him in front of Jane. Jane tries to commit suicide by leaping into the lake but Lila rescues her and confesses that Tom never responded to her romantic overtures.

Synopsis
Ann’s father is boxer Bob’s manager, but Bob doesn’t seem to notice Ann at all. When Bob wins the championship he starts dating socialite Gloria and neglects his training. Bob loses the rematch and when his manager says Bob can never fight again, Gloria dumps him. Mr. Mayer admits he lied, and Bob can resume his career. Bob and Ann also admit their love for each other.

Synopsis

Bob breaks up with Jan because “his love had withered and died” due to her selfishness.

Synopsis
Artist Martha and scientist Ted are among the recipients of an award of $10,000, but the prize only goes to married people. Martha and Ted decide to marry each other as a “business agreement,” but have to wait 30 days to collect the award. Martha falls in love with Ted but thinks he’s only interested in the money. She confesses their plan to the lawyers in charge, but Ted shows up and says he loves her too. They will wed and get the money as well.
