- During a girls' night out, Veronica, Betty and Midge meet Nick St. Clair, who sneaked into the movie without paying. Nick has recently moved to Riverdale. Veronica is immediately smitten with the tough, motorcycle-riding loner. She ditches her friends and goes riding with Nick. Hours later, she returns home to a frantic father and her friends. Rather than explaining their lateness, Nick merely drops Veronica off and rides away. Mr. Lodge forbids her to see the teenage thug again.
