Indexer Notes

Story title from promotional text in contemporary The Comic Reader and Amazing World of DC Comics.

The inking credit is a bit of a mystery, as there are no other credits for "Juan Canale." Art-spotters agree that much, but not all, of the inking looks like Vince Colletta's work. Pasko and Conway agree with that assessment, and, in correspondence with Jason Czeskleba, suggest that if Colletta had done the whole job he would have taken credit, and that someone else might have started the job, which Colletta finished. Who that other inker was is uncertain, though both The Comic Reader and Amazing World of DC Comics credited Canale without indication that that is a pseudonym. Nick Caputo adds that in the letters page Fradon and Canale are listed as "two old pros" and he believes Colletta inked the entire issue but for some unknown reason was not credited.
