Peggy loves factory worker Ralph, an inventor in his spare time. Peggy’s spinster sister Blanche urges her to choose wealthy Oliver instead. Ralph refuses to marry Peggy until he sells his new invention to the television industry--she gets tired of waiting and starts to date Oliver. But Ralph returns, a success, and he and Peggy reconcile.

Rick and Fern will wed.

Darrell apologises and offers to marry Julie but she chooses Hugh.
