Synopsis
File clerk Lillian loves to roller skate but her stuffy boyfriend Bob dislikes the activity. Lillian starts to date skating instructor Larry. Promising to marry her eventually, Larry convinces Lillian to run away with him and participate in a roller marathon. When Lillian is injured, Larry dumps her for Milly, and marries her on the rink in a special promotion. Bob shows up; he and Lillian reconcile.

Synopsis
Patty wants to be an actress but her movie star mother Bernice thinks she’s too young. Patty runs away to the family’s lakeside cabin and meets writer Steve. They fall in love and Steve gets Patty a screen test, which she fails. Bernice flirts with Steve and announces their engagement, but Steve debunks this story. He did this to cure her of meddling in Patty’s life. Patty succeeds in her next screen test and will marry Steve.
