Synopsis
Brad and Amy fall in love but Guy, the dock hand at Amy’s boathouse, sneers at the romance. He thinks Brad is using Amy for a summer romance. When Brad leaves on “business,” Amy agrees to date Guy. Brad returns: he had a brain tumor and needed an operation, and didn’t want Amy to worry. Guy punches Brad but he recovers and will marry Amy now.

Synopsis
Claire goes to the Glass River for her annual vacation and meets rich Oliver and young inventor Mike. Claire prefers Mike but stays with Oliver because he’s worth millions. Her father was an impoverished inventor and she won’t throw her life away with Mike. When the dam breaks, Claire risks her life to warn Mike. She later learns he owns a large factory but wanted to make sure she loved him for himself.

Synopsis
Orphan Christine is adopted by the mean Mrs. Hilliard, who treats her like a servant. Christine falls in love with Frank and they plan to wed, but he wants to get a promotion at work first. Mrs. Hilliard intends to blackmail Christine into staying. When Christine learns the road Mrs. Hilliard will be taking is washed out, she debates letting her tormentor drive to her death but risks her own life to warn her instead. Mrs. Hilliard repents and Christine is reunited with Frank.
