Synopsis
Lois, Clark, and Jimmy watch "Superman: A Retrospective" 68 years after Superman's arrival, commenting on several things wrong. Luthor is cleared of all charges, but the people have lost respect for him and he resents it. Dr. Abernathy experiments with Kryptonite on animals; one escapes and causes an explosion that turns Abernathy into a Kryptonite Man. Clark summons Supergirl, who defeats the Kryptonite Man. Luthor's goons take Clark to Luthor, who tells him "No more stories", threatens Lois, and punches Clark out. Luthor leaves a bloodied Clark behind, who has obviously lost his powers.

Synopsis
Toyman, in a Superman robot shell, visits Luthor, who shows him the sunstone crystal he recovered from the fortress. Clark tells Lois of his confrontation with Luthor and his lack of powers for the past year. Later, during a cell phone call, he finds a hideout off Track 13 of the Metropolis subway. Former Luthor henchmen are stealing armor and attack him. Clark is saved by Green Lantern and Hawkgirl, who had been on the phone call. An attacker tries to destroy a train, but Clark stops him. Luthor meets Metallo. Hawkgirl and Green Lantern return Clark home, offering him a Green Lantern ring.

Synopsis
Clark tries out a Green Lantern ring, brought to him by Green Lantern and Hawkgirl. Clark says he'll think about using it. The Prankster runs pranks throughout Metropolis, and GL and Hawkgirl respond. Meantime, the Flea Circus free the Kryptonite Man from Stryker's Island, bringing him to Luthor. Prankster's distraction complete, he escapes capture. Luthor and Toyman incapacitate Metallo, and take out his kryptonite heart, adding it to more kryptonite they've collected.

Synopsis
Clark recalls attempts to restore his powers at S.T.A.R. Labs. Later, he and Jimmy transmit pictures of a bribe between Intergang and Councilman Jeffries to the Daily Planet. Luthor and Toyman use the Kryptonite Man to focus a Kryptonite cannon to the center of the Earth, where it contacts something via the sunstone crystal. It responds and moves upward. Clark is attacked by Neutron and Radion for his exposes. Neutron blasts Clark, but it doesn't seem to hurt him. He is knocked down on subway tracks and hit by a train. He survives and finds he has left a handprint on the front of the train.

Synopsis
Clark tries leaping a tall building, but trips at the top and lands hard. Later, at his apartment, Lois finds him with his hand on a red-hot burner, unharmed. She gets his costume and tells him to "Go Get 'em". The Puzzler arrives at the Daily Planet to kill Clark, but Superman stops her rampage. Luthor steps up his artifact retrieval after hearing the news that Superman has returned. Superman's powers are still slowly returning, when he is attacked by a group of villains, with Jimmy covering the story. Bloodsport shoots at Jimmy, but Superman manages to outrace the bullet and catch it.

Synopsis
Superman recalls losing his powers at the end of the Infinite Crisis. Returning to his fight against Livewire, Silver Banshee, Bloodsport, and Riot, he realizes his mental abilities have also increased. He defeats the villains, returns to the Daily Planet as Clark, but leaves abruptly. Kryptonian crystals start erupting from the ground. As Superman rescues people from them, Luthor realizes the crystals are coming from a spaceship that was buried at the Earth's core. He uses the Sunstone to override the ship's command, and enters it. It rises above Metropolis, where Superman confronts it.

Synopsis
Luthor relates that the Sunstone battle cruiser is Kryptonian, used by Dru-Zod to conquer other planets. He wants to use it to destroy Metropolis, but Superman says the city is under his protection. Superman tries to distract Luthor while other heroes arrive, but Luthor shields the city from the outside. Superman burns out the remote robot crystal control center. Luthor engages the Kryptonite weapons, and Superman falls. Superman has one desperate rip through the ship, grabbing Luthor and the Sunstone. That disables the ship, but drains Superman's powers, and the ship falls to the bay.

Synopsis

Jimmy gives Superman the sunstone crystal, and Superman gives him a new signal watch. Dr. Virus and Kryptococcus attack, but are defeated, with The Dr. revealing he was forced into this by Intergang. Superman flies to the north polar ice cap, analyzes the sunstone crystal, and activates it. It grows a new Fortress of Solitude.
