Synopsis
Bruce cures a cancer riddled dog with his new gamma therapy. Looking for a cure to his own ills, former kingpin of crime, Max Stryker, sends Boomerang to capture Banner. Boomerang battles the Hulk and captures Kate, forcing Bruce to use his untested cure on Stryker. With Stryker a little green but cured, he tells the Hulk where to find Boomerang and his lady love. The Hulk is distracted by a structure in Central Park and leaves for Secret Wars.

Synopsis
Hulk returns from the Secret Wars with a busted leg and a savage temperament. He heads off to save his lady love, Kate, from Boomerang. Once the assassin has been dispatched, Hulk and Kate return to Bruce's lab where they discover that former mob boss Max Hammer has been using Bruce's untested gamma cure to heal the sick. Things go wrong, however, as Hammer turns into a gamma monster before their very eyes.

Synopsis
Max Hammer has been turned into a monster by Bruce Banner's gamma cure and he lashes out at the Hulk. During the battle, the Hulk begins to revert to his mindless, brutish state as he tries his best to kill Hammer. Rom shows up looking for Dire Wraiths and finds only victims of the gamma cure quickly dying. Rom uses his neutralizer to heal the victims and remove the gamma radiation from their cells. He tries the same trick on the Hulk but finds even his powerful alien weapon is not strong enough to cure the jade giant.
