Notable story arcs include; Tiny gets a new nose; Cedric Oddwicke pursues Aunt Bessie; Bullmoose buys Lower Slobbovia; Daisy Mae loses her hair; Li'l Abner is a champion baker; Mammy creates the endless hot dog; Li'l Abner goes to Washington to return a nickel to the president; Evil-Eye Fleegle turns the country green, but Mammy fights him off; a plot to get Tiny married; Al Yapp creates Yappland. Cedric Oddwicke's name plays on the name of British actor Cedric Hardwicke. Hal Yapp satirizes Al Capp, while the Yappland sequence satirizes Walt Disney and the recently-opened Disneyland. Pages 111 and 112 are properly numbered, but their contents are transposed.
