Synopsis
Superman and the Technology Squad defeat Neutron, who is planting energy globes. At the Daily Planet, Perry assigns Clark two important stories and many crappy ones. Clark tries to cover them, plus lunch with Lois, but is interrupted by more teams planting globes. He writes up notes and misses lunch. Realizing the globes are duplicating Mannheim's pulse, he finds a huge Mannheim. He takes his catastrosphere but Mannheim teleports away. Clark finally goes home, too late to file stories, but Lois finished them based on his notes. They celebrate the 12th anniversary since their first flight.

Synopsis
In 1659, Arion the immortal has a vision of Camelot falling. His crystal ball shows events in the future leading to it. Clark Kent is traveling to Kazakhstan to meet Dr. Callie Llewellyn, a friend. The area around an old Soviet Science Center is devastated, with people dead or injured. Superman helps the injured, but is punched by something very fast, drawing blood. The center was abandoned when the Soviet Union collapsed, but left an experiment with creature Subjekt-17. Superman is attacked again and Arion observes this. He remarks about people tampering, and journeys to his future to fix it.

Synopsis
A Soviet base in Kazakhstan is abandoned after Subjekt-17's attack, and Dr. Llewellyn discovers he was an alien baby, experimented on for decades by the Soviets. Superman buries the alien deep underground, giving him time to free trapped soldiers. As Clark returns to an airport terminal for his flight, Subjekt-17 (now flying and speaking English) attacks, telling Superman he will punish humans for what they did. Dr. Llewellyn tells Superman the Soviets controlled the alien with sonic frequencies. As Superman tries that, Subjekt-17 is teleported away by Arion, who confronts Superman.
