Colored for the first time with this printing.
The original story's page 20 has been edited into the first two pages found here, so 19 reprinted pages becomes 20 pages here. The first panel, the largest illustration, becomes page 1, and the 15 panels that bordered it to the right and below have been re-cut into the second page. Some word balloons have been shuffled around and at least one balloon has been omitted, Sabre saying "I'm glad you were." from the first panel. The shuffled text doesn't appear to have been re-lettered. This edit does not appear to have been carried over to the subsequent reprints of Sabre, the 10th and 20th anniversary editions.
In the introduction to the 10th anniversary edition of Sabre, it is revealed that P. Craig Russell had a hand inking the story. He inked all or portions of pages "31, 35, 37, 38 & 43" which should convert to pages 7, 11, 13, 14 & 19 of the story here with the above paragraph in mind.
Coming attraction for the next issue. Includes an ad for The Variable Syndrome.
Letters page includes commentary by Don McGregor and a Kent Williams letterhead illustration.
