Synopsis
The Puppet Master admits to Spider-Man and the Thing that he caused the accident that blinded his stepdaughter Alicia Masters (Thing's girlfriend). This accident was also the source of the Puppet Master's ability to create and control puppets from radioactive clay. Hoping to cure Alicia, they all head for the old hidden lab, but the Puppet Master has already turned the lab over to the Mad Thinker, and the heroes are trapped. The lab is eventually destroyed in an explosion, the villains assumed dead.

Synopsis
The Cat asks for Spider-Man's help in tracking down the Man-Killer, a former athlete who was turned into a cyborg after a serious accident. Man-Killer is acting on behalf of a militant feminist group and recently started killing people opposed to women's liberation. The Cat and Spider-Man avert an attack on a power plant and are able to stop Man-Killer by telling her that her group is secretly sponsored by Advanced Idea Mechanics (A.I.M.), a crime organization dominated by men.
