Synopsis
Arak and his comrades are now in Japan, where they find a small tribe being dominated by an oni (a sort of demon). The tribesmen have been stockpiling boats so they can leave the island, but the oni won't permit it, and Arak and friends finally confront it and manage to kill the demon. As Arak prepares to sail to his homeland, he tells Valda what he learned from Malagigi: her king's glory will soon be magnified, and she must be at his side when it happens. Broken-hearted, Valda and Malagigi must return to their own home, while Arak and Satyricus sail away to the east to find Arak's people.
