Art identification based on Stoner’s signed covers for The Funnies #49 (November, 1940), The Funnies #56 (June 1941), and Rocket Kelly #5 (October, 1946). Similarities include protagonists with long eyebrows, big dimples, and wide smiles showing teeth. The rocket and smoke drawn on the cover to Rocket Kelly #5 is also consistent with how they’re drawn on this issue’s cover.
