Synopsis
Dr. Weir tells the other heroes how he came to obtain the Purple Claw. A Crusading knight had carried the Holy Grail from the Holy Land to a monastery in Tibet. He then left with the Grail, but left his gauntlets, which had become imbued with mystical energy for good, with the High Lama. Dr. Weir came to the monastery in 1950. Sensing that Dr. Weir was worthy, he was given one of the gauntlets, which became known as the Purple Claw. Since that is now keeping the powerful, evil, Black Shroud, imprisoned, Dr. Weir returns to Tibet and is given the other Purple Claw.

Indexer Notes

When AC brought back Dr. Weir in Femforce: Out of the Asylum (1987), they used the original (1953) origin that the Purple Claw had been given to him by an African witch doctor in 1943.
