Synopsis
A band of the Mutant Liberation Force invades the Sphinx's heavily guarded Maqaman Island but finds the Avengers waiting to repel them. With Nova having learned from Sayge the true history of the Sphinx and how she changed the world, he betrays the Avengers and joins the mutants in their fight for freedom. Young Dwayne Taylor's father is killed as a traitor to the Sphinx and vows revenge. As the rest of the Mutant Liberation Force arrive on Maqaman, the Sphinx herself shows up to oppose them.
