Geraldine takes over the circus of her late uncle Aloysius Begg. The circus seems like a hopeless cause until Ivo shows up, having been sent by the Slobenian government on a cultural and entertainment exchange between the countries. Ivo is a circus and business genius. Under his guidance, the circus becomes a success. Geraldine falls for Ivo, but he does not seem romantically interested in her. Then she discovers his grasp of English has caused him to mistake the A.Begg's circus for the lush, fancy Apex circus and he is actually visiting the wrong circus.
