Synopsis
Jimmy Gray sees the Mayor's secretary being manhandled by Barney The Bat's thugs. The Shadow rushes to assist her. Later Barney begs The Shadow to rescue his young kidnapped daughter from "Roscoe's Gorrilas." The Shadow heads off to action and complications. (This story is much more complex, emotional, and violent than most issues in this series.)

Notations in issues #108 through #122 indicate that those issues may have been reprinted from issues #45 to 59. Number 122 was signed by artist Peter Chapman, as is this one. While not nearly as certain as the issues mentioned above, this issue might be a reprint of #63.
