Synopsis
Sheila dumps her boyfriend Perry for gangster Lefty. When Lefty mistakenly thinks she’s betrayed him, he threatens to murder her but she’s rescued by Perry and the police. Sheila is sent to prison for a year but Perry has her paroled in his custody and they get married.

Synopsis
Stewardess Loren is romanced by two pilots, Steve and Robby. When Robby proposes and Loren turns him down, he threatens to commit suicide. His plane vanishes and Steve blames Loren. Time passes. Steve brings Loren to a hospital in Cuba, where Robby is recovering: he says he crashed due to engine trouble, not a death wish, and he’s now engaged to his nurse Linda. This means Steve and Loren can get married with a clean conscience.

Loren is employed as a nurse and later becomes "chief stewardess." When women flight attendants began to be hired by airlines in the 1930s, a nursing degree was often a requirement for employment.

Synopsis
Nan and Orrin fall in love while drilling for oil in Texas. When they become rich, Nan feels she is embarrassing Orrin by her lack of social graces. Roy says Orrin is “a cad and an ignoramus” and gives Nan lessons in how to behave. Orrin becomes jealous and breaks up with Nan, but she and Roy have fallen in love.

Synopsis
Schoolteacher Nelly books a cruise to Bermuda; her cabinmate Helen helps glamorize her, and Nelly has a shipboard romance with Morgan. They both agree to “keep this thing light and friendly.” Nelly falls in love with him for real, but keeps her end of the bargain and returns to her job in Vermont when the cruise ends. Morgan tracks her down and gives her an engagement ring.
